Hi! I'm new here, and I don't know why. This forum seems to be the right place for me :)

I just got a very old PCW and decided I need to shout it out to the univers (sign of a coming crisis, maybe? :picard: ).

Well, now I just need to take some time for me...

Welcome to the CPCWiki!

Computers are like good wine, the older, the better  :D

Despite maybe some cleaning, that PCW looks in very good shape, and it's working!

Don't hesitate to ask anything you may need.

Cheers,
Rob

Uff, I don't even want to start talking about that... I found it very cheap (and when I received it understood why ¬¬)

First get it working!
Second... a deep cleaning... ugh!
Third... paint it? Not sure about that

Ah, thanks for the welcome ;)

Welcome!

Despite this being a CPC -geared forum, there are some persons here with deep PCW knowledge🙂

Welcome to our forum! It's always nice to have PCW guys here as well, we love all Amstrad Z80 machines here, and I really like the PCW in a special way :)

Thank you!

I just remembered that the first time I played on a CPC (in a neightbours') was with a game I found just a couple of days ago: Oh! Mummy... I can't believe it...

Oh! Mummy is a deceptively good game.

Hey @cibersheep ...

What you just said about "having just found" Oh Mummy makes me suspect that perhaps you are kind of a newbie in all things retro, or at least CPC-related.

Is that true? It would be unusual, because normally peole who buy an actual machine are kind of in the expert side.

For example, are you aware of the existance of CPC Game Reviews and CPC Power, 2 great webs to browse and discover CPC games? Also, are you familiar with Matchday 2 and the great PCW conversion?

I live in the same European state as you and in my case, it was the CPC I had at home and the PCW I saw at a friend's house (the game was the 3D helicopter simulator).

It's more like I unblocked a memory. I didn't think about the game and suddenly when I randomly found a picture, I got hit by this first time I fell in love with computers-
