I think it has been discussed before, a long time ago, but didn't realize they actually advertised them!

(From a Facebook group, but forgot which one)

I wonder where the ad is from?

Having the CPC with a modulator if you already had a TV for it would have been a good option.

The prices are in pounds, so I'd assume the UK.

Sorry I should gave been clearer - I wonder what magazine or catalogue carried the ad, maybe Dixons?

I'm thinking it might be Dixons.

It's not Argos or Tandy as the catalogue ids don't match those of the time.

Not Dixons it seems as that seems to have 'Dixon's price'. I'm going by the catalogue code and where it says it can be split into a number of payments.

Perhaps something more like Freeman's.
EDIT: Or Kay's.

I think this was early on in 6128 production before they made quite a few monitors with a 12V socket.

"Pack of two 3-in discs"
 "can be use with items D F G H"
but items D there is no on this page, I suppose were on one page before this 613 page. Maybe DDI or 664.
And items A B C were 464 with modulator, green and color monitors. :)

Good hypothesis, but somehow it doesn't stick with me. Sugar would have built enough stock...

It's from a Littlewoods catalogue from 1986

I tried to find a free PDF of this catalog but I only found Littlewoods from 1989.
And it only has PCW, ZX+2 and C64.

It's not uncommon to get pages updated in catalogues, so it's more than likely this could be an earlier/later revision of the '85/86 littlewoods
Seems like "Option 1" was a thing they did for the 464 and 6128 though.

I asked a friend who knows their way around old ads/catalogues and came up with this.

I suppose we need spring or autumn from 1986.
There are sites where you can download these PDFs but not for free.
https://www.cataloguecollections.co.uk/littlewoods
https://www.vintagecatalogues.com/littlewoods
I'm curious, but not so much.

Here you can view Argos catalogues online for free, but without downloading.

The only CPC I found there was decoration:

There is no computers in 80s, but...
Since 1992 they have been showing Atari ST, Amigas and Archimedes there.

And in 1991 Littlewoods show this:
