Hi,

Looking for the current copyright holders of Locomotive BASIC, the CPC Wiki claims SD Microsystems, but their homepage has vanished.  Does anyone know a way to contact the copyright holders?

How about Arnor? Does anyone know how to contact the current copyright holders of Arnor products?

Hi,

You can have a look at the following page (The link refered to on CPCWiki is down):

http://www.locoscript.co.uk

You'll probably find contact info there (somewhere)

I believe the copyright to Arnor products were held by Brian Watson but I last spoke to him about 15 years ago so that may have changed in the intervening time.

Actually about every 5 years since 1995 I have been contacting locomotive software asking for full source to be opened for CPC users.  So far they were always polite but due to commercial reasons they were still unable.  But now their contact info I had is no longer valid.  And time to ask again - also for Arnor products.  So Utopia could be fixed, Maxam enhanced etc.  There surely is a point in time that there is more value opening them than commercial value? but each to their own.

Yeah agreed, one would think the commercial value of this software was very low now or could atleast be released on the basis of non-commercial use, contact the rights holder for licensing.

That domain is set to expire in less than a month as well, so interesting to see if someone renews it.
