I have seen groups that preserve the data be it games or apps from all kinds of systems, but I can not for the life of me find one for the Amstrad CPC on tapes.

Is there one ?

There is a collective of dumpers working at cpc-power.com to preserve CPC tapes and disks.
If you want to help in that task, you should contact them.
