To cut a long story short, I have a DMP2000 printer coming as I wish to reaqauint myself with the model of printer that once tried to kill me. No, really! Will this one also try to end my life? Well it might make for an interesting video!
What I'll be in need of is a CPC printer cable and a ribbon. Does anyone on here have either or both spare for sale?

I tried to find a printer ribbon for several days just recently. No luck. I ended up recoloring the old ribbon with ink, which worked nicely. But I don't know if it will last.
Regarding the cable: Do you have a CPC with Centronics port or with edge connector? If Centronics, you need a cable with Centronics on both ends. You can find them every now and then for a few € on Ebay. I got my cable for less than 5€ incl. shipping. If it's edge it will at least be possible to make one with not too much effort using an edge plug. They can be found on Ebay. I got a few from Poland for 10€ or so.

If I'm lucky the printer may arrive with a ribbon. It claimed to be unused "new old stock" but that's clearly rubbish as I don't recall Amstrad shipping DMP2000's with mains plugs on them.
I'd prefer an edge connector to a centronics as then I can use it on my 6128 rather than my 464 Plus.
