4 options to demand the bar back and only one to vote against, this vote would be worthy of any Euro election.

I agree, I don't care much for polls and this one simply reinforces my concern about them, I mean what's wrong with "Do you want the bar to come back? Yes / No / I Don't Care".

Why go to the trouble of using google translate to read some racist insult.

Judging by the comments it seems that quite a lot of you haven't seen A Clockwork Orange. Shame on you. :P
Anyway, the film's milk bars serve milk with a dash of various stronger substances.

@steve: the German comments are not racist.

Um well it has been a while since I've seen it. What was the upshot of the movie? The ring leader (Malcolm McDowell) of the gang was sentenced to correction, reformed and then punished by the public for all the earlier offences made.

That's the gist of it. However, he's been betrayed by his gang members and then caught by the police, the therapy itself made him defenseless to other acts of aggression (and society itself in the movie is full of aggression, but these forms are "established" and systemic), most of the people he did harm to then use him for their own purposes. In the end, he's driven to suicide which he survives. The government that put him in therapy then reverts it, and Alex is "cured". The book has another chapter where Alex finally settles and plans to have a family - thus the cycle continues.
There are a lot of interpretations of the film and the book; it is disturbing and IMO accurately reflects parts of modern society.

Anyway, when I read about a bar ... A Clockwork Orange's milk bar was the first connotation that came to my mind. ;)

This is one of the funniest things I've read in ages.

It's a gift to make one smile. It's funny for you, but sad for him, but that's his fault.

I'm sure he's devastated. He'll probably sell off his entire CPC collection now and move over to Commodore. :)

I miss the bar... I think the best thing was that you could access the java emulator from it directly (even if it does crawl on my machine)...

Well, that's a gain for both scenes. We loose a lamer, and they get a crack ;)
