Read a few posts, seems like a nice forum. I used to play Amstrad games, and sometimes type them in too, with my best friend from 1984 to about 1989/1990 when it stopped working and he got a Mega Drive I think. I bought one about a quarter of a century ago from Yahoo Auctions UK and I tried it out yesterday and it works, but the screws are missing for the case so you have to prop up the joystick port.

I was wondering what games people played over the school Xmas holidays etc? I can't really remember which games came out in December each year to see if anything jogs my memory. Have to see if Archive dot org has Amstrad Action magazine scans to browse through. AA was the best Amstrad mag for game reviews I think from memory? I plan to play some CPC games over December anyway.

And hello from northern England  :)

Welcome onboard! I am sure you'll find answers to most, if not all, of your CPC questions here. And I think archive.org does have AA scans, at least I think I remember browsing through some of them there.

My hardware: ** Schneider CPC 464 with colour screen, 64k extension, 3" and 5,25 drives and more ** Amstrad CPC 6128 with M4 board, GreaseWeazle.

I do keep up with most things, anything from VCS to MegaDrive homebrew, usually pop by Indieretronews etc.

I lived in London for a long time, but then for whatever reason each successive job was further and further north lol.
