Hi buddies. I hope you're having a great time for this christmas holliday.

I just updated my Soundcloud with few AY-Chiptunes I wrote this year with Arkos Tracker 2.

Goldorak - Le Prince de l'Espace (A cover of the theme)

Velocity was used in Fatmag2, a diskmag by Praline production.

Wireshark is my attempt to demonstrate it is possible to use arps with hard enveloppes withount getting crunchy sounds

Hi buddies.
Another year is almost gone. Merry Christmas to all CPC enthousiasts. I wish you're having a great time surrounded with love and joy.

This year I've been playing a bit with Furnace (a multi-soundchip soundtracker) and the YM2203 (OPNA) as TotO used this chip for Alcon 2020.
I've composed 10 tunes to play with various configurations of this littly boy.
It can handle 3 PSG channels (YM-3-8910 compatible but with a slightly debugged buzzer), and 3 FM Channels (4Oop) or an 'extended' mode with 6 FM channels (1op).
I've tried pretty much every possible configuration with about 12 songs (still on WIP for some and few finished ones)

Here is one of the finished songs :
https://soundcloud.com/e-dredon/rasters-1xym2203-3xopn-3xpsg/

Usually I'm just posting on few FB groups and here. This time I'll do a social experiment.
The question is : Does the CPC community have some serious interest in more projects using this hardware.
So here is the challenge : If the tune hits over 200 likes on SoundCloud, It will be time to work on a descent
replay routine for the CPC.
As for now Furnace exports only in VGM format. To keep the data at a descent size, it needs a realtime VGMZ decruncher.
Abstract64 has a working replay routine ZX-80 (spectrum) for the AY-3-8910 with a custom Furnace export fileformat that requieres a custom build. It's quite efficient and might not requiere too much work to add the FM channels registers dump.
So the replay routine would be my personnal challenge for 2025.

Oh. Before I forget it. Your time is precious and so is mine. I don't want to get involved into silly and toxic talks about TotO's hardware, tehnical choices and so on.
All I want to know is : Would you like to enjoy games / demos using this hardware.

Regards,

I have the hardware,  so I'll be happy to see a demo or listen a music cartridge on it.

However i would find not interesting to listen standalone music, éventuellement with a still image

Sounds great for my ears. Please "transfer" my like here to Soundcloud, since I'm not registered there. :-)

I also have PlayCity, it sounds really great, I would like to have a player to play music from, launching it from Basic.

Targhan

I might be a little too "oldschool", but this sounds nothing like a CPC, and thus, does not appeal to me at all... I might be the only one though.

Definitely... It's out there, thanks to Alcon quite many people own it - it definitely should get the attention it deserves.
