Hi All

The photo indicates that the Z80 Chip had Been removed with a Pick for a shovel without removing most of the solder.

It was hard to Diagnose the fault on this board ??

Just Smile.

Ouch! that is a hell of a work! I did accidentally lifted a couple of tracks and several pads while desoldering the CRT chip and had to patch it up with some wire too but this seems like a lot of work!

On (many) occasions I get boards, where someone unfortunately tried repairing it themselves and ended up making the situation much worse and the repair more complicated. Usually physical damage due to a lack of soldering skills. Then you end up with a repair that looks like this*.

How did they do THAT much damage? Accidentally used a welding machine?

Hi Bryce

The annoying part is that you MUST have every Bodge wire Fitted or the CPC won't work correctly ??

Thanks for the Photo
I Must learn to get that Knitting Pattern.
My knitting Pattern is from the "Birdsnest" Manual
