about to buy untested CTM 644 seller says just flashes on and off green

Hi there someone i know of is selling a CTM 644 monitor they have no amstrad to plug it into but turning the monitor on they say it flashes on and off green

i have the 640 monitor already and when that is not plugged into the amstrad but turned on it is just a black screen

does the flashing green sound like the 644 could have a issue?

Forget it, most likely the HV Transformer is shorting to the chassis or shorting inside the transformer. It will die completely pretty soon.
