Amstrad CPC6128 Plus Purchased from France.
This is my first Plus Machine.
It arrived with a lot of Yellowing. Hmmmm
Powered it up Got a Screen Press F1 or F2
Neither Keys worked Hmmmm
Tested all keys to see if i could get a Beep out of the Audio
About 1/2 The keys gave me a Beep.
Ok off with its (Head) Top cover
Found a small childs Black gun inside ??? , Decided not to shoot myself with it.
Cleaned and Reseated the Ribbon cables for the Keyboard.
Keyboard Now Works F1 and F2 do their job
CAT . Hmmmmmmmm
Ok Pull the EME 157 out of 6128Plus, Belt very unwell.
Replaced the belt and found the Pin on the bench top .
Put Back. Cat all OK Smiles a lot

hahahaha, I wonder how the gun ended there, my bet is that through the cartridge slot :D In any case, it is great that is working now! It seems that the poor guy will benefit from a deep cleaning too!

It was in the Floppy drive. It had been posted by a small person.
Deep Cleaning, "Retrobrite treatment" or is there an other way..
Is there anybody who knows about the signal strength of the Video output,
Do we have to attenuate the signals as the screen looks a little bit over saturated ??
PS The streaks in the lower section of the Photo are my cameras problem.

Actually the video signal on the plus is usually a bit weaker than a classic CPC. The only video circuitry mod I'd advise would be to add the 3x 220pf caps between each RGB and GND. This gets rid of those vertical stripes.
Be glad the customs guys aren't kicking your door down for gun smuggling!

So you could fix the keyboard by unplug (clean) and replug it?

I am suprised customs didn't open the package when they saw that! I've watched Border Security on tv and they open all kinds of packages ;)
