Printer DMP2000 - black line and missing descender for characters like q and p

So I managed to reactivate an old DMP2000. The test print works, however I get a black underline in every line (visible on the left side, almost not visible on the right side) and the descenders of characters like p and q (the lower part of the characters) are missing. Picture attached.

I am not really sure what that means. Maybe an issue with a needle? Anything I can do?

Black line not sure about, missing descenders - some pins not firing.

I'd say the black line is caused by the print-head being too close to the paper on the left side; ie an alignment problem.
