Title: Gotek, flashfloppy and Black Land
Post by: briefer on 18:48, 11 January 20
Hi guys

first post, and asking for help, a classic...  :P

I have a gotek in a 6128, connected externally and working great with any dsk files... except with the black land game. This marvel is distributed in two double sided disks, and the gotek does not seem to recognize the file format.  ???

Any clues? is there a way of choosing the disk side with the gotek and flashfloppy? ::)

thank you in advance  :D

cheers

Have you tried playing it with an emulator just to eliminate the possibility of a bad file? I also have a gotek  with FF and so far I havent found a game that does not run. I dont have the "Black Lamp" to try it though.

thank you for your answer!

yes, it works with RVM and winamp. Also, there was a typo in the game name. This is the game if you want to try:

you will notice that the dsk files size is twice the usual, because they are double sided.

cheers!

Ok. I was almost certain that it was black land, but actually black lamp also exist.  :D  i just couldn't find it to try. I will try these dd disks. Also, there is a version that every side is on different dsk file. If it is permitted, i will attach them here. Those work for sure in gotek/ff

I tried the double sided disks from the site you mentioned. They work fine. What firmware version do you have? maybe an old one? The only problem is that I dont know how to change side.

edit

Side change is not implemented and propably wont be. So stick with the 4 dsk side version :)

If you use ParaDOS you can configure it so that I knows about double-sided disks. AMSDOS but default doesn't and assumes single sided to the best of my knowledge.

This is obviously a bit redundant if you've found the separate image files version.

Why don't you get the original download? Here:

The english version in the site is the double sided disks which have the "problem" with flashflopppy. He needs the 4 disk version.
