Hi forum ,

Lost in conversion .

I try to get a black-screen 464 back on the road , my previous projects included sinclair and commodore .......so first thing needed is a good video out .

i have a monitor with all kinds of inputs ;

will the component video be usable ?? y , pb ,pr ( or is that unusable ).

The CPC has a real RGB+S signal. Component is not available.

However the luminance signal on the connector that was used by the green screen is "kind of" a monochrome composite video signal. (I write "kind of" as I have a LCD screen which perfectly accepts composite video but not luminance from the CPC.)

so most likely the best option would be rgb to scart to hdmi to monitor .....................??

Looks a great project ,

but i am not a pro in smd mounting techniques ( yet ) , so this one is not really suited for me .

Yes,

this one, but needs to be a RGB input ... otherwise it will not work with the CPC.

what schematic is the cable you showed me ?

sorry all newbie questions ( i know commodore and sinclair , 464 is new to me )

i will try to make that cable this weekend , converter is in customs right now os i hope delivery next week .

new powersupply will take 2 more weeks

I would only attempt it if you have really good soldering skills. Those din connectors I find the most annoying to solder ...

the scart to hdmi converter has arrived , scart cable has been made , now to wait for the new powersupply , and testing can begin .

cable has been made , converter has arrived .

So closing this thread , and continue with the unwilling 464 .
