Before I start looking to make up a KiCad footprint for the 50 Way Expansion PCB Edge Connector, has anyone already got a footprint or know where I can find one? I am looking to make a small expansion card with a pass-through edge connector.

I have a footprint, although edge connectors are not straight forward in KiCad. My technique is to use a generic 25-pin connector on the schematic with a surface mount footprint for each, one for each side of the board. Footprints can't use the edge-cuts layer so I put the outline onto silkscreen or engineering layers.

To use them flip one footprint to the underside (hopefully the correct one!) align them accurately then create the edge cuts in line with the markings. A easier strategy may be to take my board layout and remove everything else.

The footprint is in the root folder (CPCModular.lib), and it's used on the Backplane PCB.

I guessed it was not straight forward, hence here I am.  ;D

Got it thanks, loaded the CPCModular.lib and the .pretty folder. Also loaded the Backplane project. Just trying to workout my next steps.

Very nice, thanks.

I think that may be a good idea. Thanks.

Footprint looks good, nice work.
