Following this guide https://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Guide_on_how_to_connect_a_3.5%22_drive_to_a_CPC6128/664#What_you_need_.28minimum_requirements.29

First opened my Amstrad and disconnected the internal floppy to prevent conflicts.

Got a generic pc 3.5 drive to work fine great guide :), in place of jumpers soldered bridges under the drive.
Now the read led is ON forever and could prefer to have the led really work.

Assume this is because the RDY signal is bridged all the time, and this is a natural part of this mod.

So tested a Samsung sfd-321b/lfbl1 that I modded for amiga use in the past, this enable the rdy signal and swap the drive to 0.

But don't seem to work at all, like to know if the modification to use it an Amstrad is different and if there's a guide on how to do it anywhere.

Also, have a bunch of floppy from a lot of brands so if there's a guide for another model I can do it to.

Hi Sebastian,

I believe the drive number needs to be 1 for the CPC rather than 0.  Hopefully that's just a jumper setting?

B-Drive? Use DS1 jumper.
Ready signal? Needed! Don't short it, advanced software will not work.
