Hi and welcome back,
the black one is a clone of my AMX Mouse adapter. https://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/PS2Mouse
The green one is most likely an AtariST to CPC adapter.

One of them seems to be the Talrek adapter (the one in the upper side of the picture), it works very well with simple mouse (even optical). I bought a cheaper "microsoft basic" one and it's ok. I have older mouse which doesn't work even they have ball. So it's not a matter of age but of protocol i guess.
My pronouns are RASM and ACE

Talrek's device is a clone of my AMX Mouse, just done using SMD parts for some components.

Well had a chance to test em.. the ST mouse adapter works fine but the usb amx adapter shows a flashing LED under mouse movement and clicks but no output on the cpcplus😢 maybe itll work with a normal 6128.

Talrek used my PS2/USB host firmware, so the meaning of the LED flashes are as described here: https://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/PS2Mouse#Using_The_Mouse_Adapter
This will tell you if the mouse has been recognised and configured properly. If the initialisation was successful, the LED will stay off and only flash during movement. If this is the what the LED is suggesting and the mouse still doesn't do anything on the CPC (it should create arrow symbols on the screen, even if you just booted to the Ready Prompt), then the device is faulty.

If the LED is flashing as expected, it means that 90% of it is working. It can only be the buffer or the 9pin connector that has a problem. I'd check for something simple like a bad solder joint or scratched PCB trace before going looking for a new one.
