Hi,

anyone know a way to contact the original designers of the RGB2HDMI adapter?

I do have an issue with mine that it has some "dropouts" ... It looks like a heat issue as it is getting worse over time.

I recorded a Video demonstrating the issue. It is not from the CPC, as on a normal monitor it is absolutely smooth and stable. Also I do have that effect on three different CPCs (two 464 and one 6128).

Also anyone has any idea on how to troubleshoot?

Things I tried:
1. Different software versions. no change
2. Pull it out of the case (reduce heat issues) . no change
3. Played with the configuration ... no change

Here you can see a video demonstrating the issue:

Okay,

I now have inspected the two boards and also found the correct source for support (stardot forums).

As registering is taking some time I do have some more generic questions on the soldering job done here. I did purchase the module.

The adapter consist of three things. Raspi 0 W, the cpld device and an analog adapter.

The images below show the soldering job done on the cpld as well as on some other switches (e.g. level shifters)...
Look At U1 (one shot from above and one more from the side) and U11 as well as U5 and U6 .. But even U2 you can see the remaining solderpaste not fully heated on the legs.

For me it looks like it has been done via reflow soldering, but the solder has not been heated up enough and there is solder still everywhere over the place and may short things of?

Can you please check the pictures and let me know if you think that could be source of the issues?

Anyhow it looks pretty bad solder job. Esp on picture 4 you see the solder sprinkled all over the place (on the button for instance).

Okay, I took out my soldering iron and gave each chip a good amount of flux and reheated every row. Now it looks much better and works flawless ..

Feedback going to vendor :-)

You will need two different versions for CPC and PLUS.
You usually can find both on sellmyretro.com.
