My idea to do something was meant serious, keeping myself busy with CPC projects does significantly shorten waiting time. Furthermore it really doesn't matter how long it takes to finish this great upcoming game. As long as they team will love their baby at release date.

The rest you make a valid point on though. But I don't wait on the edge of my seat for an 8bit game now in 2022. A year to 18 months, fair enough. But when we're three to four years waiting, I'm sorry but the thrill is gone by then and as far as I'm concerned, it's vapourware until proven otherwise. That's just me, I'm a no expectations, no disappointments kinda guy.
