Love this game, but could never get past the sixth track I think.

Really made up for the fact that Hang On never got released, apart from a really bad conversion on the MSX which is even worse than Super Cycle was on the Spectrum
(And yes, Super Cycle was absolutely deplorable on the Speccy!)
Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?

sigh

What a wonderful game! I'm still astounded by the quality of programming to get the feeling of speed.
On my machine - when the game hit top speed, the race lines started moving in reverse. It doesn't seem to happen on Xyphoes version?
Did anyone else have this problem?

Also - I was listening to an interview with the programmer (Mev Dinc) behind Enduro racer for the speccy and cpc. He said that he created it on the speccy first and found a clever way of emulating it on the cpc.

As for other motorcycle games; I think that's as good as it's going to get.

Interesting that you mention this. I seem to recall this effect on happening on the version on the History In The Making compilation released in 88.
That was the 64k version (no music on the title screen), but I think the 128k version rectifies it.

Either that or my eyesight is playing tricks on me.

I bet it'll still have this effect if you use a real CPC with a CRT monitor or CRT TV.
The problem with PC's (YouTube videos and emulators) is that you're watching a 50fps video on a 60hz display.
Everything on PC generally gives a wrong impression of how the CPC looked. Not by much of course, but enough that I find it annoying sometimes. Especially when a scrolltext becomes jerky when it's otherwise very smooth on the CPC itself.

P.S.: My project 8-bit Memoirs will be different because it's a Blu-ray project. The TV will change its refresh-rate to match the 50 fps videos, and everything will be smooth and nice as God intended it to be.  ;)
