Some interesting points made here. One of the things I never noticed originally playing this in 89 was the weird CD, especially with the trees, I guess they just assumed people wouldn't attempt to go that close to them. I know I never did!

I also noticed about halfway through the video you were dangerously close to the side wheels and it didn't collide either.  ;)

AA rated this highly, I didn't get it. I thought it was very boring to play, and as you mentioned, every track had the EXACT SAME color scheme which took away from it, especially when you're a 64k tape user, and this was a real bad multiload nightmare. It's like the graphics guys got lazy as the deadline loomed. And as you also pointed out, it's too slow.

I don't think the opponents cars crashed into each other in the arcade version either, so at least it was consistent if anything else. I'm not a fan of opponents cars crashing out anyway. It used to drive me insane on WEC Le Mans!

And yes, longplayers using cheats annoy me too. Sorry, but if you can't play the game as it's meant, don't try longplaying it.
Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?
