Loved this when it came out. Too bad back then I didn't know how to complete it in 20 minutes. :D

My brother use to play this game A LOT on his NES.
I always thought of it as a NES game.

I remember seeing screenshots of the Amstrad CPC version some day, and (of course) finding the graphics much better. I was very curious to see the game on the CPC, but I never managed to get a hold of it.
Have always been curious to compare the various levels, but never been interested enough to actually try to reach those levels. :-) hehe

Downloading this for later view on the TV.  :D

For some reason I can't watch the video.  Anyways it's a good game.  I actually just played it again the other day after finding it to be one of the games that works well through Tapdancer to my real 464 (even though I have the actual tape).   I played with the cheat mode on and yeah it's about 20 mins long if you don't die (though I still lost Michelangelo falling off a building).  But I've played it a lot and for me a short but enjoyably replayable game is better than a long game you won't come back to after completion.   Still much harder without the cheat mode on though.

I had it on NES as well.  Overall the NES version is better due to things such as more individual sprites (Rocksteady and Bebop have their own more cartoon accurate sprites) and tiles (the Technodrome has a more accurate detail whereas the CPC version has it built mostly out of one repeated basic block tile), more animation, bigger game, excellent soundtrack) but there's something I enjoy about the CPC version too (bright colourful graphics with more colours per sprite than the NES could do and parallax scrolling which you didn't see often on CPC.  And Shredder looks damn cool when you load the game up).  Was quite happy to own them both.  I don't have the NES cart anymore (or the console) but I still play it on emulators particularly on my PSP.  Still got the CPC version with it's box (thankfully cos the CDT file I loaded through Tapdancer asked for that passcode copy protection stuff and I still have that sheet of codes in the manual).

This was a rather good game, but damn, I must have been the only kid who didn't get into TMNT...

I remember finishing this game on my second attempt without any cheat... A bit disappoiting because of that but well at least it wasn't too difficult (NES) or unfinishable (DOS US).

This game was somewhat of an extreme for Dave Perry as well, as he went from making games that were near impossible to finish, to games that were relatively simple to finish.
