Turbo The Tortoise review and longplay (100% perfect run - no hits) for the Amstrad CPC! A cool little budget platformer with some lovely graphics, smooth scrolling and tight fluid gameplay. A little basic, but what do you expect for a tape game that cost

This game is lodged in my memory for one reason:  It was a nice looking game that came on an AA cover tape and I didn't already have it for a change, and the 464's rubber band chose that moment to give up and chew the tape instead.  :(

On reflection, I think it's a little slow now - I didn't really mention that in the review. Still quite enjoyed this games - HiTec started doing some really quite decent budget platform games in their later years with lovely graphics and smooth scrolling - eg Potsworth & Co
