Merry Xmas! I thought I'd share with you all my favourite top 5 games I got for Xmas from parents and family, I got thinking this week about how excited I was getting a new Amstrad game for Xmas and how I miss those times.... wishing that on Xmas day I could again be unwrapping another 8-bit delight. *sigh* I miss those days!!! I would love to hear your favourite games you got for Xmas too, whether it be on the Amstrad or other systems. These aren't necessarily the best games ever or those specifically released in the Xmas period, but the ones you got for Xmas anyway and have the most fondest and vivid memories of good and bad. Christmas 1985 (I think)... I got JET SET WILLY: THE FINAL FRONTIER & GAUNTLET, both on tape. I missed my birthday & New Year because of those two games that year. Loved them both, still do! ^_^
Some of the Christmas games i got from family and played so much were Mario Bros, Exolon and Saboteur 2.
I can remember the excitement and joy I had as a child when i got these gifts. When I first heard the music of saboteur 2 and exolon I was gobsmacked and still love them to bits, good old times...
Xmas'88 (in Spain is the "Día de Reyes" 6 of january) were amazing with Rambo III, Batman The Caped Crusader and Captain Blood. And my friends had a lot of nice gifts that everybody enjoyed from Navy Moves to París-Dakar passing by Sol Negro, El Poder Oscuro, ...

Lemmings, last game I ever got new for the CPC... sniff! :'( Was the end of an era.
Best Amstrad game I got for Christmas: Bubble Bobble 4 CPC, got it for Christmas in 2011 by CNG Soft. :D
Been waiting for this game for many many many many years. Finally a decent Bubble Bobble game for the CPC.
There are a few things in the game I'd have liked different, but overall I'm happy with finally having this game on my Amstrad in a quality I expected it should be.
One other game I got for Christmas, which definitely made that Christmas one of the best, was the dual-screen Game & Watch from Nintendo; Donkey Kong II. Definitely one of the best presents I've ever gotten for Christmas. And I still have it! :)
First Xmas after I got my 464... I had been saving and I pooled everything together. Went with my dad to the store he bought it from with the princely sum of 15000drs (a ful-price game cost some 2 or 3k drs back then, IIRC). I got a huge load of budget games, the guy at the store was ecstatic (and so was I). So many were the tapes that the girl at the counter got a bit confused... and forgot to take the money! We discovered it a block away from the store, so we had to go back and give it to her...
