To save you having to type in SEND.HEX from the manual, here it is, along with a disassembly and a port to CP/M-86.
(When I looked for SEND.HEX, I found I had a set of scans of the CPS8256 manual in the same place, dated 2009. Whether I'd made them myself or downloaded them from somewhere else, I don't remember; they were pretty poor quality, having been made in black and white rather than greyscale).
