Emulating printing from locoscript

I've got a number of disks with locoscript files on them that I'm trying to get onto a modern system for easy use by people not comfortable with emulators or similar. I've taken images of those disks and have been able to load them into PCW emulators and view the files there, but I'm struggling to get the content out of the emulators, despite trying a couple that say they support printing.

So far I've had the most success with Joyce, from Locoscript 2.16; if I ask it to output PNG images, then it will do this, although in a bit of a fiddly way. I need to tell it that I've put a new page in the printer each time it reaches the end of the page, and on the final image of each document, the output image doesn't save properly until I close the emulator.

I tried outputting to the Windows GDI, using the Microsoft Print to PDF printer, and this had the same issue of needing to be assured it had new paper at the end of each page, but then when it reached the end of the document I again couldn't see a way of telling the printer that the job had finished, and when I closed the emulator the print job was cancelled (rather than saving what had already been sent).

My ideal at the moment would be some way to print out of an emulator (it doesn't need to be Joyce; I've also tried CP/M box, but with less success; and I'd also be willing to try other versions of Locoscript), ideally to PDF, and preferably without having to sit there and tell it once a minute that it has new paper to continue printing from.

Am I going about this in a stupid way / am I missing anything major here?
