Amiga mice have some sort of button press on boot options, but I can't remember what they do. They are also software driven (ie: it's in the Kickstart), not part of the mouse hardware.

Edit: Just checked my notes. The 1351 (for the C64) does exactly what you describe. Holding down the right button on boot sets it to "Joystick Mode".

The AMX mouse on the PCW has an expansion unit that goes on the back of the PCW which the CPC then plugs into, and the mouse has a different connector on it than the CPC version (though I guess it electrically it's probably identical).
