Hello,
Do you guys remember a game called "Histoire d'Or" from Cobrasoft ?

Does anybody have a copy of it and would be eager to add it to the fabulous Amstrad PCW games archive ?
The only copy available for download on the net is the CPC version, and it's a pity such a nice game could not be found anymore for the PCW series...
Cheers.

Yes, it would be interesting to see this.

From a technical point of view, the two pictures given could just as easily be PCW screen images.  I'd wonder just what the differences are between the CPC and the PCW versions?   Looking on the web, I see an example of the game being offered for sale, and referred to as being for the CPC 6128, which could be a cp/m system?

I'm just wondering, the versions could be very different, or very similar.

I read somewhere that they were going to do a PC version as well?

The CobraSoft listings I see for this game show Amstrad CPC and PCW versions ONLY - for no other platforms.   Again, I'm wondering, are they more similar that you might think?

I used to have the PCW version in the late '80s, and the only thing I know is that this game was developed in Turbo Pascal.
And yes, it was launched from the CP/M prompt.

There was also an old french magazine for Amstrad PCWs which I used to read back in time and where Histoire d'Or is reviewed.

Unfortunately, there seem to be no available scan of this magazine on the net, except the cover:

If someone has still it hidden somewhere...

Hello, from the PCWwiki team, I inform you that we have all the magazines that appear in the link and many others not yet published. It is a long and hard work that we elaborate. Always in the best quality for Amstrad PCW users.

We also have the game Histoire d'Or (Mallard Basic), like many others that have not yet been published. Little by little we will update the PCWwiki. regards

HigashiJun

You mean you have a .DSK archive of this game ?

It would be sweet to have it added to the PCW game collection...

Concerning l'Echo du PCW, I used to have all the issues back in time but my numerous movings made that I have lost them all.

There is another site mentioning them, but without any valuable scan.

These were really great magazines, with a lot of interesting programmes, hacks and news.

Sweet memories...

Hello again. We have a lot of material for Amstrad PCW´s. Right now, we are uploading applications, but we will continue with the games. There are many strangers for the PCW, so as soon as we can, we will upload everything. Images, manuals, covers, dsk, etc. Regards. And much more....

HigashiJun

Waooh !

I was not expecting so much...  :o

If you have L'UNIVERS DU PCW (Patrick Leon) in your huge archives, please also add it.

This book was a must for PCWs owners.

Cheers.

Yes, we have many books and assemblers for PCWs. French, German, English, Portuguese and Spanish.

HigashiJun

Thank you so much !

I remember how much I saved money to buy this book by myself when I was a kid...

Now, let's hope you'll find some free time to add it to your impressive on-line archive.

Yes, I'd be interested to get a copy of the Histoire d'Or game, as much to see how the graphics is integrated within the BASIC prog.   Oh, and maybe to practice a bit of French??
