Title: PCW9512 CP/M disk images?
Post by: JonB on 18:12, 05 January 15
Hi

I just scored a PCW9512 with a 3.5" drive as A: but it has no CP/M disk.

I found a copy of a CPM disk here: LINK (http://www.retroarchive.org/maslin/disks/amstrad/index.html) and it is a td0 (Teledisk) file. I have this utility on a PC I built for the task but it keeps failing at track 40 for some reason. Says the drive is not ready.

I also tried Dave Dunfield's ImageDisk program, converting the td0 to a img file first (using the supplied utility). This writes the disk fine but it will not boot on the 9512. Funny thing is that when Teledisk reds the file, it says it is an 8256 CPM disk.

Is there anywhere else I can download a readable image of this disk?

Hi,

Probably a bit late, but You could check out the following auction on eBay :

Amstrad Locoscript 2 Software on 3.5" Floppys | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Amstrad-Locoscript-2-Software-on-3-5-Floppys-/151539679178?pt=UK_VintageComputing_RL&hash=item234877ffca)

Those discs are brand NEW and UNOPENED (according to seller)
