Title: Wiring for a PCW9512 motherboard
Post by: handyandy69 on 11:06, 19 September 19
Hi,

Starting a project to fit a PCW9512 motherboard in to an old server case with power supply.  Just wondered if someone could confirm the voltages on the Yellow, Red & Orange wires attached to the power connector.  I'm assuming the 2 black wires are ground (Unless Alan had run out of different coloured wires that day)

Cheers,

Andy.

Yes
1/ black gnd
2/ black gnd
3/ red 5v
4/ orange 12v
5/ yellow  24v (only used for the printer output)

You can easily check it . On the CPU motherbord, the power wires are labeled on the PCB (5v) (12v) with the same colours and using a tester, from red (floppy power)  to midle (power input) = continuity

And remember than if you want to use 3,5" floppy drive, you have to swap the red and orange wires on this floppy power cord. The original floppy wiring is only for 3" floppy drive
