In case anyone else is wondering, the DAMS (not related to Inspector Clouseau's damburgens (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0383216) either, hopefully ;)) receiving so much praise by AsT seems to be a French assembler package: http://cpcrulez.free.fr/applications_coding.htm also existing as a ROM version: http://amstradcpc.vivasitei.com/
Maybe someone experienced in its use could let us in on a few details and its advantages...
It is the best , that's all :D
It contains assembler , dissassembler, editor and debugger (in something like 10K ! all resident in memory).It owns a lot of options , you can find it there with manual :
