Hi all,
Arkos is going to release something in the following weeks. For this event, here is a little teaser that you can download here (http://www.julien-nevo.com/arkos/wp-content/uploads/teaser.zip)! Do not worry, it won't spoil the surprise so don't hesitate.
Please run it on a real CPC! However, and exceptionally, this teaser makes the use of the PlayCity! It will still work if you don't have it, but it won't be as interesting.
Enjoy!
Arkos Tracker 2 ?? This sounds great!! (Pun not intended!)
I've been using Arkos Tracker for my game's music, and it's superb - so I'm looking forward this - and whatever you have coming next!
"unlimited channels", moar effects, old format import, AKY, this sounds great! :o 8)
As a BIIIIIIIG Ay-fan, I'm really looking forward to this :) .
Well Done Targhan! Great "The Last v8" song conversion.
Waiting for ArkosTrackers 2 now...
Great sound, indeed! Good work!!
Great news... How to listen to the soundtrack (until RevisionParty) cause iI don't have a Playcity :(
Ca passe sous JavaCPC...
Thanks all! A quick tour of Arkos Tracker 2 will be presented at the Revision :).
Fantastic, can't wait :)
Playcity support in javaCPC is fine, but at the start of the teaser it still states that no playcity hardware was detected though.
Nice music.
hi very good :P
work also with mess (mess64 cpc6128f -flop1 teaser.dsk -exp playcity)
Happy for a new release....
For the Playcity, perhaps a bit too late now that it's officialy a dead project :(

Well, I don't know what are your sources, but being in direct contact with TotO, I can tell you it is surely not.

That's TotO words that he don't want to build cards anymore... but if he has changed minds, even unofficially, then great as i was waiting for the first releases using it to buy a Playcity...
Will there be a new version of STarkos tracker too ? :)
I don't think so :).
Nooooo :( it's my favourite cpc program.
@remax (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=314): Toto said he would manufacture boards "only for his friends". Just come to the Revision party or Reset party or... and I'm sure you can get some hardware from him.
As an hardware manufacturer on the CPC scene I can understand it: no one wants to handle manufacturing and selling of hundred of boards, only to find some of them overpriced on eBay a few months later. This is why I decided to publish all schematics and PCBs for my boards, so others can build it if they want. But Toto doesn't want to do that, so you'll have to handle the "restricted diffusion" from him.
And it's not impossible to see compatible boards from other people coming, maybe?
Alright... we all poor guys with no Playcity, how can we listen to the full track?
anyone cares to share it??
Well done again Targhan!!

You should have purchases the board earlier ! That's all.

You'd just have to buy the board sooner !
i would have like to read it from toto himself... (anywhere else this forum, of course)
Just a small update to tell that I have postponed a bit the release Arkos Tracker 2 from what is said in the teaser. But it should be released end September.
Two reasons for this :
- I wanted to have some feedback from my fellow beta-testers.
- I have added quite a lot of features I didn't think I would include so soon.
All in all, you won't be disappointed!
More on this later...
I would have liked to send more feedback, but got too much going on. :(
It's very intriguing to be able to track CPC music on my desktop Linux computer, so I imagine I'll end up being productive with Arkos Tracker 2. (I was always disappointed about the whole Windows-only constraints with Arkos Tracker 1).
But I'm also a bit conflicted. Because there's just something about using the real machine. ;)
Laziness will probably push me to Arkos Tracker 2 though....

Yes, but you won't be able to go back to the real CPC now that you've tested all the new features of Arkos Tracker 2 :).
