At the time of writing it for the BASIC 10-Liners Contest, I thought it would of had a better chance in the PUR-120 than being up against some arcade classic written in 10 Lines for the EXTREM-256, though like the EXTREM-256 category, PUR-120 allows entries to use alternative BASIC apart from the one found in ROM. As a result of that an entry from the PUR-80 category, which only allows entries from ROM in BASIC was shifted into the PUR-120 category instead of being disqualified, shifting my entry down one place!

I thought I asked them if CPC BASIC 3 could be used instead on their forum, but I dunno since the alternative BASICs on other machines run within those machine environments, rather than Crossing from another platform.
For Cross the Ferry, I didn't think scoring was important, it lets the player know how many people got across at the end of the game, the Lives & Stage thing I would have liked, but was out of space, in a sense the player gets 3 chances and if 3 people fall in it's game over, it just doesn't tell you though and while there's stages I may have left it out to give the player more of a surprise when the next stage commences and the people more a little faster.
@ComSoft6128 from your PM, the decision to use Joystick was also based on space (making sure each line was within 120 characters), because I was using JOY(0) instead of INKEY(##)<>-1, unfortunately these people play everything on Emulator and I have a tendancy of writing it on emulator, which regretably means I haven't tested proper with a Joystick, though having a sensetative Joystick myself and finding it impossible to Redefine Keys to Joystick on Raffaele Cecco games like Exolon and Cybernoid 2, I guess it would be annoying.
