A music remake of Navy Moves by Mcklain

Heheh... really nice, real 80s feeling, a shame it's so short!!
Navy Moves - 80's Techno-Pop remix (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrKC3ZSDtCc#ws)
Top job, sir! Love it!
What this world needs, right now, is more CPC music remixes!
C64 has RKO, Amiga has AmigaRemix and the rest have OverClocked... we need our own remixers! Especially with such an impressive library of AY-only game music created in the 80s/90s.
Wow, this was unexpected. I uploaded that a year and a half ago :D
Thank your for the compliments, sir ;D
You should think about the idea of becoming Retro DJ McKlain, Live events in Retro Fairs !! 8)
Let's start the party !! :P
That's because people are so evil o.O
They dont think they could send me a news to feed my site.
That's why I am going to open in the following weeks ... a forum on my web site.
Dont be afraid I am not interested to open another forum like CPCWiki, CPCRulez, PushNPop, Amstrad.es, Phenix : there wont be subforums about hardware, software, etc...
It will be for the sole point of :
- correcting my awful english grammar and mispellings,
- commenting the news,
- getting help of other people for news and why not more content for the web site which has always been since 1999 a one man effort (time to change a bit after so many years).
So, in essence, another forum to discuss current developments, just without the categories :D
Really cool remake!
Now want Cybernoid! ;)
^^^
+1 !!!
This is also cool:

Wouldn't it be easier, and quicker, to just request a complete JDR remix album? All of his tunes are AY classics! On par...
NO, better than some of Rob Hubbard and Martin Galway's SIDs!
I'll take a look into cybernoid ;D

Cool!
But the CPC version, please!
We have enough C64 remakes :-\ ;)

The CPC theme from Dave Rogers please !!! :-*
Guys, to be honest I don't like that song too much ::)
Cybernoid 2, on the other hand, has a pretty nice tune.

If you make a remix of Cybernoid II I will worship you forever!
(
P.S. Stormlord title tune is pretty decent, too... or Netherworld! ^_^)
Oh, and is there any chance of releasing these remixes (ie the two above and your new one) as .mp3 files? *please*

Yep! Excellent! Done... and added to my daily-visit music web-sites!
Oh, I too now wish Navy Moves was longer... how about an extended trance mix...? 8)
Oh sorry, dance music is not my thing XD
An 8-bit version of 'HEART OF THE MACHINE' would be really nice to hear! The crisp waveform sound of the AY chip to produce the high-note melody/rhythm and the sawtooth pulse of the SID chip for the ambient sounds; making for a potentially amazing 6 channel remake of your great ambient-electronic tune!

An interesting idea, but it would require a lot of work ;D
That song is made of 3 individual tracks that are basically the same, but the main melody is generated by a random arpeggiator so that the 3 tracks are not exactly the same and the notes overlap and make random chords. It was another of my sound experiments and sometimes I'm lazy, you know ;D

Proof that laziness can produce great results!
And the 8-bit machines were made for arpeggios! ^_^
Oh, and think about releasing SABOTEUR 2 on R.K.O. (http://remix.kwed.org/); I know you used the CPC version, but I think the rest of the remix community would be interested in your style. And, unlike a number of remixes on R.K.O., yours is a very polished product.

I thought about that before, but I wasn't sure if I would get my ass kicked from there XD

I think you'll find that BATMAN FOREVER has opened a lot more doors than we give it credit for.
The humble CPC is beginning to look more like a credible platform for games, music and demos in the eyes of the 8-bit community. There's no reason why remixes cannot be added to that list... and sometimes these C64 pretenders need an outsider to kick THEIR ass once in a while.

DOUBLE POST ALERT*
I like your Cybernoid 2 remix, but Stormlord
has a possible bum note at the end of the first melody section (01:06), otherwise a perfect remix; especially the bass guitar which sounds great on my new speakers! I always imagined JDR tracks to be guitar melodies; ZYNAPS, for example, is a perfect rock guitar track!
(
P.S. I pray they're yours now, otherwise I'm gonna look like a pillock again!)
EDIT: Ok, according to my musical-ear (which is pretty crap most of the time) that note at the end of the first melody section is an 'E'. Your remix plays that 'E', as expected, but it doesn't seem to sound right... or is it just me? It's just me! Forget it! Can't wait for the official release! ^_^
Mmm... wrong thread? ;D
I haven't made any other "remixes" besides saboteur 2 and navy moves.

No problem. To be honest I wish I had done them ;D
Ok, it's now been 7 days and no-one has claimed the remixes of CYBERNOID 2 and STORMLORD.
Should I give you guys a link to them or wait a little bit longer?
Put the link here, I want to hear them ;D
Ok kiddies, plug in those amps and turn the volume all the way to 11...

Some great CPC tunes :
- Deliverance
- Le passager du temps (English name ?)
- Sacred Armour of Antiriad

This is one of the few JDR tunes I didn't like. I always wished he'd used the alternate STORMLORD title tune instead.
The same can be said for MAZE MANIA; I really prefer the unused version!

I don't think ERE did an English version... and my French is too weak to even consider translating it.

There are a few remixes of this Richard Joseph classic on R.K.O.; and as the C64 version is only slightly different to the CPC (but not as good!) we can always claim these to be CPC remixes!

I like the bass on the Cybernoid II remix ;D
Wow, Burning Rubber is really nice!! Stormlord is very pleasant, too, and Dizzy is one of the best renditions I've heard :)
