New Amstrad Discord server

Because it seems like there's not a single discord (see here for more info https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discord_(software) ) for amstrad machines anywhere, so I made one!


I'm looking for some input on what I can add(and/or take away) to make it better for everyone.

I know this is part of a cycle, and we're moving from forums back to IRC (call it discord or telegram or slack), but I think it is a shame. The community isn't that large to split it.

Anyway, I keep lurking here. No other social media for me for now (does this count as social media? ).

Yes, I agree. And while a chat is nice for some specific reasons, it sucks for many others. Mainly, other than real-time, it's not convenient at all to search through old 'posts'.

That's totally cool. I'm not demanding that anyone join! But if you should ever reconsider - we're not going anywhere
It's my ultimate aim to bring as many communities together as possible - With the success that has been the Amiga discord(which I co-founded) I figured there should be at least a proper unified place for Amstrad users to meet and collaborate. I do recognise that it might split communities, and I'd honestly prefer it didn't, but I would like people to be able to use the forums and have another place to scratch that Amstrad itch should they desire it.

Blimey - I almost thought this was Reddit for a minute when I read down the posts
I think it is a cool idea. Extra CPC coverage doesn't split communities it just provides more cool resources and places to collaborate and share news. Plus Discord has Smartphone Apps so it is easy to use when on the move!!
I've joined and I still check this site too...
I hope it does well and best of look Devlin.
