Very nice MOD, I like it a lot.

I don't know how you want to convert it to CPC, but Arkos Tracker 2 (shameless plug, I'm the developer, see my signature) allows you to import MOD and replay them on CPC with its own MOD player. You can also import the MOD and use "normal" PSG instrument instead (but you'll have to replace the sounds by yourself).

EXCELLENT taste of music - I am an all time Alan Parsons (Project) + Eric Woolfson (RIP) fan.Looking forward to it!

Very nice rendition of Mammagamma! Good use of channels!

This track has been on my playlist regularly since it came out. I've mostly heard the version on Synthesizer Greatest though.  :)

Do you also compose your own Amiga mods? Any links?

EDIT: Using the "Optimize" button in Milkytracker reveals 13 unused instruments. By removing those you can trim the mod down to 130 kb.

Fabrizio Radica

oh nice! is not yet optimized :)

Here my soundclound with "recent" songs (made with Renoise)

Cool tracks on Soundcloud!
So you work mostly wtih Renoise?
How come you made the Mammagamma track as a 4 channel MOD then?

I also bought Renoise, and made a few tracks with it too, but I find myself returning to Milkytracker most of the time to create MODs or XM files instead.

Nice.

But... is that with or without Digiblaster?

I assume Digiblaster. But I was sure Digiblaster would give a better sound than that.

@Targhan I'm also about to try to do some tracks for both Amiga and the CPC (or some day in the future anyway). Arkos Tracker 2 only supports one speed setting though. Can you tell us what each speed in Arkos Tracker 2 corresponds to in a MOD?

Fabrizio Radica

both.
This video is without but the DSK have both :)

@mr_lou MOD and old school trackers use the exact same speed management, which is based on the screen flyback. "New MOD" use a more precise timing, which is can not be used on old-school platform, the same way as chiptunes. Speed 6 in a MOD matches the "6" in AT2, or Soundtrakker, or STarKos, or Protracker (by Prodatron).

Ok, so BPM just has to be the default 125 in the MOD?

I don't remember exactly (you can also calculate it... But I'm tired :)), something like that indeed.

Yea, I kinda think you should have put the Digiblaster version on YouTube instead of the non-digiblaster version....

They are all quit of interest. For 4 bit CPC PSG sound, that MOD got really well.  :)

Digiblaster is printer port, right?

Does any of the trackers support the Amdrum PCM playing mode? PCM to out &ffxx expansion port? From the CPU load, that would not be different.

For low / zero CPU load and high quality PCM, indeed LS3 EEPROM PCM sample playing mode would be one way to go.

GUNHED

Digiblaster is 8 bit printer port (signed). In every case it's just sending a data stream - with correct speed.
