Phreaks demo's algorithm finally explained !
17 January 2011, 6:01 am

Too many of you asked for implementation details of Phreaks demo. So I wrote an article describing the different steps of creation I had to get the best data format ever done (to this day!) on Amstrad CPC for storing a full-screen, per-pixel based animation sequence. Enjoy reading here !

Great article, thank you.

I've also been going through most of the things you have in trying to make an animation.  Mine strangely will now be a kind of combination between Phat and Phreaks, but I decided upon this by my own process of development rather than seeing your demos (I have been thinking about doing one for over a year now).  :)

I too have taken inspiration from certain YouTube videos  :D

You could have used FFmpeg to easily extract the BMP/JPG etc from the FLV/MPG/whatever  ;)

Great article... any chance of copying it to the wiki?
