Too many of you asked for implementation details of Phreaks (http://www.norecess.net/phreaks.html) demo. So I wrote an article describing the different steps of creation I had to get the best data format ever done (to this day!) on Amstrad CPC for storing a full-screen, per-pixel based animation sequence. Enjoy reading here (http://www.norecess.net/phreaks-demos-algorythm-explained.html) !

Great article, thank you.
I've also been going through most of the things you have in trying to make an animation. Mine strangely will now be a kind of combination between Phat and Phreaks, but I decided upon this by my own process of development rather than seeing your demos (I have been thinking about doing one for over a year now). :)
I too have taken inspiration from certain YouTube videos :D
You could have used FFmpeg (http://ffmpeg.org/) to easily extract the BMP/JPG etc from the FLV/MPG/whatever ;)
Great article... any chance of copying it to the wiki?
@redbox it's really an interesting algorithm to dig around !
Sure, fell free to copy paste this article. Please just specify the source (www.norecess.net).
