24 April 2011, 2:23 pm

Devilmarkus released a new version of his cross-platform CDT2WAV tool. With this tool you can convert cassette images (CDT files) to a WAV file, which you can e.g. use to play with your soundcard / music player, etc. You can download it here (http://cpc-live.com/data/download.php?type=-tool&fichier=CDT2WAV_1.1.zip).

@DevilMarkus: are you perhaps willing to share the source to CDT2Wav?

I'm busy porting TZX2Wav to Python and although it's starting to work fine I still have some issues with some SpeedLock protected CDT's. CDT2Wav's output does not seem to have these issues (tested in emulation). Your source may hold some clues  8) (I can't readily test or compile TZX2Wav which I'm porting since I have no Windows machine available at the moment - it's basically a blind port). I'll release (my) sources when done  ;D
