Akalabeth, predecessor of Ultima, ported to the CPC
1 September 2015, 12:00 am

Akalabeth was ported by the CPCWiki user Fessor to the Amstrad CPC. Akalabeth, written 1980 by California Pacific Computer for the Apple II, is a predecessor of the game Ultima and because the BASIC source code is available, it is possible to port it to the Amstrad CPCs Locomotive BASIC. So if you want to play the ancestor of the modern role playing games, head over to the CPCWiki forums and download the DSK image with the port of Akalabeth.
