Hi,

Not sure which movie it is and I don't have much to go by, but... when I was growing up in NZ they broadcast a movie twice, I think it was Dutch, but it may have been German.  All I can remember it was about a group of 3 or 4 people, teens or young adults traveling across the country sometimes walking, sometimes hitching, sometimes riding a bike, swimming in waterholes etc... I suspect it was a popular 'international' movie at that time.

Any ideas?

Hi,
can you give more information!I am obsessed with  films, so i would love to help, but your description is too vague at the moment. Any more details to come?German movies are normally really bad, i assume it must be a dutch film ;)
Best regards,

Let's be honest: the movies we liked as kids/teens didn't necessarily be good movies - "2 Nasen tanken super" - you remember? ;-) So it could very well be a typical 80s German movie. However I am not aware of many German movies that were successful internationally.

The only movie that would ring a bell is "Stand by me" but that was a US movie.

lol... Eto... Thomas Gottschalk und Mike Krüger movies were so annoying...
The only german movie which got international attention in the 80s i can remember of is "Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo".
Soundtrack by Dawid Bowie. Wonderful german version of "Heroes" in it.But not exactly the fun film we wanted to watch back in the day :-X
