Title: Atari ST SID Sound
Post by: arnoldemu on 09:20, 12 September 14
MaxYMiser can be used to make musics with SID voice on the ST.

maxYMiser - Atari ST YM2149 chip tracker (http://www.preromanbritain.com/maxymiser/)

Does anyone have any compiled tunes that uses SID voices?

Is there other trackers on ST that can make SID voice.

I have a number of .ym SID-voice music files if you're interested, but no actual "compiled" music files, sorry.

ChipMonII (http://www.atarimania.com/demo-atari-st-chipmon-ii-sounddemo_27154.html) supports SID voice on AtariST.

@arnoldemu (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=122): I would say you that you should ask in http://www.atari-forum.com/ (http://www.atari-forum.com/), there is nice people there (you can find Gryzor there, for example) and even has a section in the forum specific for maxYMiser... but it looks the forum is off-line today!?!? Give a few days and try :)

Another option is taking a look to the Ultrasyd's site (http://ultrasyd.free.fr/tracks.html), his ST songs are made in maxYMiser and in addition to the mp3s, he puts compiled songs for ST. I don't know if he uses the FX, but his songs are AMAZING! :)

for a future project I plan to convert an atari st player over to cpc including sid sound and use on the playcity with it's interrrupts.
the st sound player can be used to compose it and it can generate the compiled data.

I have more plans for this future project, but I can't reveal anymore just yet.

Yup, I'm on there too, but nowhere near as active as I used to be 15 years ago, after I launched the Wiki :)

The server is down because they're moving...

The first song could perfectly be an Ultravox song  ;D
