Prohibition remake as Java-applet
« on: 17:37, 26 January 12 »
I am coding a Java-Remake of the CPC-game "Prohibition".

It can be embedded into websites later.

The game is controlled by mouse! So no keyboard needed ;)

It's absolutely unfinished but here's a teasing screenshot:

Sure that would be very interesting...
Important to know who would be the guy with the girl which is taken hostage...

What was your bra-size TFM? ;)

Well game progress is ~70% now...
Missing many bad guys and the highscores...

Wow! One of my faves... thanks so much for this!
Btw, won't mouse control make it much easier? Maybe you should tweak the difficulty?

Any plans on replacing graphics and sound with more modern versions? I mean higher resolution and more colors and such?
Or is it "just" to be a CPC game still?

Who wants to test it:
http://java.cpc-live.com/prohibition.php

(I dont want to promise too much, it's still a very early progress, and I also need better screen/sprites handling)

Keys:
M - Toggle music
F - Toggle screen filtering (suggested by Gryzor)
W - Toggle accuracy (Will add a few more game modes: Easy, Medium, Hard)
Space - Hide

The game is controlled with your mouse.
Left mousebutton: Shoot
Right mousebutton: Hide (same as space key)
Mouse movement: Aim @ targets and scroll through the area

Added score system. (When the game is finished, the scores will be submitted to my website!)
You can enter your name using cursor keys and space key.

Also added a options menu. It's shown when you begin the game or during gameplay when you press "O"

Added the bonus-scene:
After killing 45 opponents, in the 128k version you enter a bonus scene and have to kill 4 bosses!
