Can't argue with female intuition ... but my guess is they were given instructions on how to behave during the wedding. Something along the lines of: "no french kissing" ;) It's a formal ceremony, after all.
@Gryzor: Yes, that's the only reason I'm able to talk about it at all. You can't escape it, even if you don't watch tv a lot (like me).
