Hello

couldn't find a forum features discussion. Of course all forum software works differently, and I am new here.

I think I am safe posting this in 'off topic'.

I was trying to post a reply and I wanted to quote the same person twice breaking up the quote like this:

Original comment

JohnP: Here is something someone said, My imagination is so poor that I have not been able to think of anything clever or witty to put here so have just put this nonsense instead

Quote "Here is something someone said,"

My reply goes here

Quote "so have just put this nonsense instead"

My second reply

---
I am sure this is possible, but how?

Thanks in advance

Gryzor

Yeah, unfortunately you can't, at least not automatically. You can quote the whole message twice and cut the parts you don't want, or you can of course do it manually by using the [ QUOTE] tag.

As with many other things on this forum: this functionality could exist, but we're waiting for the next forum software version before hacking and slashing code...

Testing testing, 1-2-3!

Thanks. I feel your pain, over on L64 we are all in the same boat as you, sadly we've not had a forum software update for a Loooong time. I think it is a great community, but the forum software is beginning to 'creak'.
