UPS monitoring software?

Hello guys,
My old UPS kind of gave up the ghost, so yesterday I got me a new one. First time I'm using one with a data connection to the PC, but its software SUCKS! It was probably written around 1995, judging from the looks of it, and I hate it with a fury.
So I'd like to ask you if anyone knows of a decent UPS monitoring software? The cheaper (=free) the better of course, but oh well...
