Maybe take the Win11 discussion somewhere more appropriate?

On a similar note, all the tools suggested here work fine under W11.

Gryzor opened the thread and is part of the Win11 discussion. I think it's up to him as to what's appropriate?

McBryce.

if you're under unix the command line dd do the job, and dump the DVD as iso file.
May be the http://www.chrysocome.net/dd do the same.

Ah didn't occur to me there might be a Windows version of dd, I wonder if under the hood it's similar or it's just the high-level functionality. In other words, if it's as good.

If you're running any kind of dd/ddrescue make sure you don't mind that machine being on for a good long while - sometimes the process can be very slow when reading potentially bad data

This. I often do mine overnight.
Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?

Gryzor

Very true, and also depends on the number of retries...
