Not really getting around them as it is focusing entirely on them, even embracing them I suppose.  It's like saying hey the Spectrum can't do proper detailed coloured sprites so here's tons of huge blocky graphics instead.    Not a bad thing and it's got it's own style going on.
Favorite CPC games: Count Duckula 3, Oh Mummy Returns, RoboCop Resurrection, Tankbusters Afterlife

That's what I meant :) . Going around can be either by finding ways to avoid them or incorporating them to give you something special.

I like it a lot, it moves very well, seems very funny and I think they found a nice way to overcome an obvious limitation :).
