Title: Remake of Mutant Monty.
Post by: steve_ancell on 08:23, 16 June 13

Hi, I just joined the forum and would also like to present to you my remake of the Amstrad CPC classic, Mutant Monty.

It seems to be running OK on Windows XP and Win 7, but doesn't seem to be running on Win 8. I have had reports that it runs on Mac under emulation, but sometimes has speed issues for which I am currently working on a solution.

Heh, gave me a good chuckle. Difficult!

Maybe you could add a windowed mode and probably scanlines?

I did want to give it a windowed mode option, but there is quite a lot of tearing when any sprites move horizontally at the top of the game area. I noticed it happening after I added music, but I'm not sure if it's that actually causing it.

What level did you get up to?, some people have been saying they can't get past level 2.  :D

I've beat the CPC version more times than I care to remember, but I've only ever reached level 34 in my own version. When the programmer can't beat His or Her own game, then that game is a definite success.  8)
