Type-in from the November 1988 issue of the German 'Schneider Magazin'.
The program is Listed at the end of the video.
Info (from the magazine):
"What even some printers cannot do: teach your CPC new fonts with our series.
The program printed here enables you to output text in proportional font on the CPC, in all three screen modes. It runs on all three CPCs from cassette or diskette. First, let's briefly explain what proportional font is.
Normally, all letters are output on the CPC with a width of eight pixels. So the A occupies the same space on the screen as the i, although the i is much narrower. This has two major disadvantages. Firstly, it doesn't look very good, secondly, space is unnecessarily wasted on the screen. With proportional fonts, on the other hand, each letter has an individual width. This leads to a nicer display and a better use of space. In proportional font mode 1, instead of the usual 40 characters, an average of about 60 characters fit in one line. This in no way affects the legibility of the characters.
To use these options, you must type Listing 1. This generates the necessary machine program. Then you would have to create your own character set. If you find this too complicated, type in Listing 2
, which generates a proportional character set. With this and the machine program from Listing 1, you can output characters in proportional font. Listing 3 is a short demo showing the capabilities of the program. An editor will follow in the next issue, with which you can create your own character sets."

Not emulated - original hardware and software.
Please note that  the aspect ratio for this YouTube video is 16:9 but the CPC monitor
has an aspect ratio of 4:3 so you may wish to adjust your viewing device accordingly.

I remember, that I typed in this listing and was quite amazed about it at this time :)
I wonder if he used the "TAG" (text at graphic) feature of the CPC OS graphic routines and defined a char for each single char output.
